Hellfish – one of the most significant producers of dance and experimental electronic music over 160 bpm will play for the first time in Poland! You will be able to hear him during the afterfarty of the MDF festival on September 22nd at Club K4 in Szczecin. Ticket sales for the after-party begin on August 16th.
The musical activity of Hellfish (Julian Cobba), covering hardcore and breakbeat, is almost as long as the history of these genres. Since 1992 he has been providing sound system medium of the highest quality wherever there is rave culture in stronger varieties. Since then, Hellfish has brought to life interesting musical phenomena that are still popular today. He also managed to work out a unique and unrepeatable style of music creation.
In the history of the toughest varieties of electronics, he also became a publisher and promoter, creating the legendary label Deathchant. It has published over one hundred titles with music from the elite of producers from around the world.
In the work of Hellfish, you can find a lot of references to popular culture. The artist particularly liked fragments of classic rap recordings. From hip-hop vibe transplanted to hardcore music, he has made one of his distinguishing trademarks. Despite the utilitarian nature of the music produced, Hellfish does not forget about searching and sound experiments. The effects of these activities set new musical trends and are so respectable that they appear in sets of other titans of electronics, such as Aphex Twin.
Hellfish's musical achievements have been released by such important labels as: Rebelscum, Peacemaker, Planet Mu and Psychik Genocide, and the mentioned Deathchant. Among the artists he has collaborated with, we can find, among others, DJ Producer Tieum, Micopoint and Skeet.
What will Hellfish offer during the September performance at Club K4? We do not know the details yet, but it will certainly be an extraordinary and unpredictable live act that will stay in the memory of the participants for a long time.
During the afterparty, along with Hellfish, Rombanka Soundsystem and Hachiwari TV will perform. The participants of the DJ workshops run by Szymon Karpierz, a Szczecin DJ and radio player, will also present their skills.
The Afterparty of the MDF festival will begin at 22.00 in Club 4 – Szczecin Loft of Culture. Tickets priced 10-20 PLN can be purchased at the Ticket Office of the Philharmonic and online at filharmonia.szczecin.pl from 16th August from 13.00.
