We are pleased to announce the 4th International Mieczysław Karłowicz Composers’ Competition

The International Mieczysław Karłowicz Composers’ Competition is not only an established, prestigious global brand but also a remarkable opportunity for artistic success for composers from around the world. Previous editions have confirmed and strengthened the Competition’s high standing, establishing it as one of the most important composers’ competitions worldwide.

It is no coincidence that this unique Competition is organized by the Szczecin Philharmonic and the Society of Authors ZAiKS. The Philharmonic’s space provides an ideal setting for presenting an original, fully contemporary repertoire to audiences. The final concert of the 4th International Mieczysław Karłowicz Composers’ Competition will feature the Szczecin Symphony Orchestra performing the finalists’ works, alongside an engaged audience who will have the opportunity to select their own favorite.


Dear Composers,

We kindly invite you to take part in the Competition. We look forward to receiving original compositions for symphony orchestra, lasting between 9 and 12 minutes, which have not been previously published, performed, or awarded in other competitions.

Submissions will be accepted from 23 February to 31 August 2026.
